KidsVerse Privacy Policy

KidsVerse is an early-years app operated by Sironik Tech Pvt. Ltd.. Kindergartens, nurseries and childcare centres ("schools") use it to record and share a child's day with their parents, and to run the room. Schools are the controllers of the information they enter; Sironik Tech Pvt. Ltd. processes that information on their behalf to provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account and profile: your name, mobile number, role (parent or staff), and the school you belong to. Sign-in is by mobile number and password; we send a one-time code by SMS to verify the number when you register or reset your password.
• Child and family records: the child's name, room, class and attendance, the parents and guardians linked to them, and who collected the child and when — entered by the school.
• Daily care records: meals, sleep and naps, nappy changes, and the room's notes about the child's day.
• Health information: medication a parent asks the room to give — the medicine, dose, timing and duration — and a record of each dose given, missed, or not given because the child was absent. It also includes incident and accident reports written by staff. We treat this as sensitive information and it is visible only to that child's parents and the staff responsible for their room.
• Messages and notices: conversations between parents and their child's room, and notices published by the school or the room.
• Fees: invoices, amounts due, payments recorded by the school, and receipt numbers.
• Staff records: for staff users only — check-in and check-out times, leave balance and leave requests, room cover assignments, and the working schedule.
• Staff check-in: when a staff member checks in, the app reads the name (SSID) and identifier (BSSID) of the Wi-Fi network the phone is connected to, and the device's time zone, to confirm the check-in is happening on the school's own network and to work out which local day it belongs to. We do not collect GPS coordinates and we do not track anyone's location or movements. The operating system requires the location permission before it will reveal Wi-Fi details at all — that permission is the only reason we ask for it. This applies to staff only; parents are never asked for it.
• Camera and photos: staff can photograph the room's printed paper register so the marks can be read into the app. The photograph is used to produce a draft that a person reviews, and the recognised marks are not saved until a human confirms them.
• Device and technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, preferred language, and diagnostic or log data used to keep the app reliable and secure.

How we use information

We use information to operate and provide the service: to record a child's day and show it to their parents, take the room's register, manage medication and incidents, deliver messages and notices, keep track of fees, run staff check-in and leave, verify your mobile number at sign-in, provide support, and keep the app secure and reliable. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising or marketing profiles, and we do not sell it.

App permissions

• Camera and photos — staff only; used to photograph or choose an image of the room's printed register.
• Location — staff only; used solely to read the Wi-Fi SSID/BSSID for check-in. No GPS coordinates are collected or stored.

Every permission is asked for at the moment the feature is used, and the app works without granting the ones you do not need.

Messages

Messages between a parent and their child's room are delivered in real time and stored so both sides can read the conversation again. They are visible to that parent and to the staff responsible for the child's room, and to school administrators. They are not end-to-end encrypted — please do not use the app to send anything you would not want the school to hold.

How we store and protect information

Data is stored on secured cloud servers (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), with files such as photographs held in OCI Object Storage. Information is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, sign-in tokens are held in the device's own secure storage, and access is restricted by role — a member of staff sees their own room, a parent sees only their own children, and each school's records are kept separate from every other school's.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with your school (Confidential) and its authorized staff and administrators; with service providers that help us run the app — cloud hosting and SMS delivery for verification codes — under agreements that limit their use of the data; or where we are required to by law, or need to in order to protect a child's safety.

Children's information

KidsVerse is not designed for, marketed to, or usable by children. The app has exactly two kinds of user — a parent or guardian, and a member of the school's staff — and both sign in with a verified mobile number. Children do not have accounts and cannot log in.

The app does hold information about young children, because that is its purpose. That information is provided and controlled by the school, which collects it from parents under its own enrolment agreement and its own consent. Sironik Tech Pvt. Ltd. processes it only to provide the service to that school, never for any purpose of our own. A child's record is visible only to that child's linked parents or guardians and to the staff responsible for their room.

Data retention & your rights

We retain information for as long as the related account or school is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, safeguarding and operational purposes. Because your school controls its own records, the quickest route to seeing, correcting, or deleting information about you or your child is to ask the school directly. You can also contact us using the details below and we will help you, or pass the request to your school.

Fee payments

Where your school has enabled in-app payment, the payment itself is processed by a third-party payment gateway. Card, wallet, or bank details are handled by that gateway under its own terms — Sironik Tech Pvt. Ltd. does not receive or store your full payment credentials. We record only that a payment was made, its amount, and its receipt number.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we send alerts about your child's day, messages, and notices. Delivery uses your platform's push service (Apple or Google), which receives the notification in order to deliver it. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
